Chili Crisp Focaccia

  • 5 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp CinSoy Soy Sauce Salt
  • 1 envelope instant yeast
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 1/2 cup water (lukewarm)
  • 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Top: 

  • 3 tbsp Chili Crisp
  • Soy Sauce Salt 

 

  1. Add lukewarm water to a large bowl and whisk in the honey and yeast. Let sit for 1 minute.
  2. Add flour and Soy Sauce Salt. Mix with a rubber spatula until you get a shaggy dough.
  3. Knead for 2 minutes until it comes together and springs back when you poke with your finger.
  4. Turn into a ball and transfer to a generously oiled bowl. Roll to coat in oil. Cover with plastic wrap and set aside in a warm place for 3 hours to rise.
  5. Add 4 tbsp oil to a 13x9 inch pan. Turn out dough to the pan and spread with your fingers to the shape. Cover and set aside to rise for another hour or until it has nearly doubled in size. 
  6. Heat oven to 450 degrees. 
  7. Remove wrap and dimple the dough with oiled fingers.. making sure to press down to nearly the bottom of the pan. Drizzle with CinSoy Chili Crisp (using more of the oil than the solids)- making sure to spread evenly around the entire pan. We used about 3 tbsp. Sprinkle with CinSoy Soy Sauce Salt.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes - you are looking for the loaf to get browned and crispy on the top. 
  9. Cut into squares and enjoy!
