CinSoy Tea Eggs

• 6 eggs
• 2 black tea bags
• 4 tbsp soy sauce
• 1 tbsp sugar
• 1 1/2 tsp five spice
• 2 cups water
  1. Hard boil your eggs - start in cold water, bring to a boil and shock in ice water after 6 minutes.
  2. In the meantime - mix the following ingredients in a mason jar or glass container: black tea bags, CinSoy Soy Sauce, sugar, Chinese Five Spice and hot water.
  3. Stir to dissolve the sugar. When the eggs are cool enough to touch, remove them from the ice water and gently crack them (keeping the shells on).
  4. You want to crack them thoroughly so that the tea mixture is able to get under the shell and permeate the egg.
  5. Let your eggs soak for 24-48 hours. Alternatively - you can simmer the eggs in the tea mixture to infuse the flavor.
  6. Remove the shells and enjoy with a sprinkle of CinSoy Soy Sauce Salt.
