• 1 tbsp sugar
• 1 1/2 tsp five spice
• 2 cups water
- Hard boil your eggs - start in cold water, bring to a boil and shock in ice water after 6 minutes.
- In the meantime - mix the following ingredients in a mason jar or glass container: black tea bags, CinSoy Soy Sauce, sugar, Chinese Five Spice and hot water.
- Stir to dissolve the sugar. When the eggs are cool enough to touch, remove them from the ice water and gently crack them (keeping the shells on).
- You want to crack them thoroughly so that the tea mixture is able to get under the shell and permeate the egg.
- Let your eggs soak for 24-48 hours. Alternatively - you can simmer the eggs in the tea mixture to infuse the flavor.
- Remove the shells and enjoy with a sprinkle of CinSoy Soy Sauce Salt.
