Miso Fried Chicken
- 2 tbsp CinSoy Miso
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 pound light or dark meat chicken (boneless or bone in will work)
Breading:
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 2 tbsp CinSoy Soy Sauce Salt
- 1 tbsp ground black pepper
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Rub the chicken with the miso paste and let marinate for up to 24 hours.
- When it is time to cook, pour the buttermilk into the chicken mixture.
- Mix the breading ingredients together in a separate bowl.
- Pull the chicken - one piece at a time - from the buttermilk and place into the breading bow. Make sure to coat every part of the chicken with the breading mixture.
- Fry in oil that is 350 degrees. Slowly drop your chicken into the oil to avoid splattering.
- Cook until a thermometer inserted into the thickest part reaches 160 degrees.
