Miso Fried Chicken

  • 2 tbsp CinSoy Miso 
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 pound light or dark meat chicken (boneless or bone in will work)

Breading:

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp CinSoy Soy Sauce Salt
  • 1 tbsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  1. Rub the chicken with the miso paste and let marinate for up to 24 hours.
  2. When it is time to cook, pour the buttermilk into the chicken mixture. 
  3. Mix the breading ingredients together in a separate bowl. 
  4. Pull the chicken - one piece at a time - from the buttermilk and place into the breading bow. Make sure to coat every part of the chicken with the breading mixture. 
  5. Fry in oil that is 350 degrees. Slowly drop your chicken into the oil to avoid splattering.
  6. Cook until a thermometer inserted into the thickest part reaches 160 degrees.
