Rice Cooker Umami Mushroom Rice

  • 1 1/2 cup Planet Rice California BlondeRi ce
  • 1 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tbsp CinSoy Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Mirin
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil 
  • Pinch of white pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic (grated)
  • 1 inch ginger (grated)
  • 8 ounces mushrooms (whatever kind you like!)
  • CinSoy Chili Crisp and sliced scallions for topping


  1. Add all ingredients besides mushrooms and chili crisp to your rice cooker. Stir to combine.
  2. Slice or tear mushrooms into bite sized pieces and place on top of the rice mixture. Do not stir!
  3. Turn the rice cooker on and let the mixture cook.
  4. When it finishes - stir in the mushrooms.
  5. Plate and top with a drizzle of chili crisp and some sliced scallions.
  6. Enjoy!
