Takeout Style Beef and Broccoli

 

1 pound Shaved beef

  • 2 tbsp CinSoy Tamari 
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil 
  • 1 small head Broccoli - cut into small florets
  • 1 small carrot - sliced into thin half moons
  • 1 small red onion - sliced
  • 1 tbsp ginger - minced
  • 4 cloves garlic - minced
  • Toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 stems green onions, sliced

Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup CinSoy Tamari 
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  1. Mix the sliced beef with the tamari and cornstarch. 
  2. Mix the sauce ingredients and set aside. 
  3. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan. Add the beef and cook for 2-3 minutes or until mostly cooked through. Remove and set aside. 
  4. Add the second tablespoon of oil to the pan and add in the broccoli, carrots and onions. Cook for about 5 minutes or until they are tender. 
  5. Add ginger and garlic and coo for another 1-2 minutes or until fragrant. 
  6. Return beef to pan and pour over sauce. Cook for 1-2 more minutes, stirring frequently until the sauce is thickened and coats the meat and veggies. 
  7. Serve over rice and top with toasted sesame seeds and scallions.
